GOING GREEN!

Ben and Leslie Redwine, longtime advocates for environmental stewardship, are fully committed to doing their part to lesson their footprint on the earth. As Head of School at St. Andrew's United Methodist Day School, Leslie spearheaded the school's work to become one of Maryland's few independent schools to achieve the Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education Green School Certification. She and Ben brought that same philosophy to their business. Here are some of the actions they have taken to Green Up the business:

—New packaging is made from recycled paper; no more plastic boxes;
—Printed documents from RedwineJazz are all printed on recycled paper;
—All print cartridges are sent for recycling;
—Our hard rubber mouthpieces use sulphur as a hardening agent, yielding a fully recycleable mouthpiece that can be devulcanized and reused;
Canyes Xilema has changed their packaging by no longer sealing their boxes in plastic; their boxes are cardboard and fully recycleable.
—RedwineJazz is a member of the African Blackwood Conservation Project that is working to replenish this valuable tree in Tanzania;
—RedwineJazz is an active member of Annapolis Green,a local organization of like-minded business leaders interested in promoting green living and business.

“We remain fully committed to doing our part to be good stewards of our planet. Our goal is to get the same kind of committment from everyone we work with and welcome your ideas that will help us further this cause.” Ben Redwine
